I became acquainted with Paleface’s music in 2015, and I have been blown away by his lyrics and the raw energy of his sound. He and girlfriend/drummer, Mo Samalot, have been wonderful to work with. None of Paleface’s lyrics are available in written form, so I need to deeply listen to his songs and then transcribe the lyrics for each piece. Next, I type them and send them to Paleface and Mo to read, correct, and approve.
Pondering the Night Sky came to me as a triptych…I knew the three pieces I would draw as soon as I listened to this contemplative song. Take some time to read the lyrics, listen to the song, and I think you’ll see what I mean. Happily, Paleface, Mo, and I continue to collaborate.
